Type of cooperation: Test before invest – domain expertise
MGL company was founded in 1991 to produce aerospace parts and gradually expanded its activities to other industries such as automotive, construction, and electrical engineering.
The cooperation between the EDIH Ostrava and the MGL company on developing materials for the automotive industry consists in developing a constitutive material model that can reflect hyperelastic and viscoelastic behaviour, considering the effect of temperature and loading rate. Subsequently, a dynamic calculation will be performed and compared with the experimental results to achieve the best possible agreement between simulation and experiment. The aim is to increase the final product’s quality and reduce the amount of waste produced in the production.
Experts from IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center are involved in implementing this EDIH Ostrava project.
